These are excellent shoes for the outdoor gardener, etc. I can work in the rain and mud and keep my feet warm and dry. If they get too muddy I just use a hose to clean them off. The fit is excellent and they are so comfortable! Best of all. if I have to run into the house which I usually do several times, they slip right off and are easy to put back on. I wear orthotics and they fit in the shoe very well!

I love these shoe/boots! I prefer to be barefoot, but between the rocks, thorns, ants, poison ivy and other foot hazards, I've learned I need to wear shoes outside when gardening or working out on the farm. These shoes are GREAT! When they first came I thought they would probably rub my ankles, and take some time to break in, and for me to get used to them, but by the second time I put them on, I didn't particularly want to take them back off. Strong enough to work a shovel, flexible enough to forget you are wearing shoes. And the tight fit around the ankles even provides some protection from the fire ants. I seldom leave reviews, but I wouldn't have bought these if there hadn't been so many good reviews, so it only seems fair to leave the kind of review that might encourage someone else to give them a try. They are unusual and/but they are GREAT! I haven't even gotten to the waterproof part. Doesn't matter what you walk through. Your feet stay dry. I should add that my feet are between an 8 and an 8.5 (women's size). I first ordered the 8, but exchanged them for the 8.5. The 8.5 are a perfect fit, which, to me, means these run a tinch on the small side.

I typically ware a size 11.5, but needed a size 12 for best fit. After receiving my swap, these shoes fit great. I really do like these work boots. I use these almost every day for work in the yard and use them while cutting my neighbors yard and daughters yard. Very comfortable , and allow me to use shovels without hurting my arches/bottoms of my feet while landscaping.
