David Oblas

6 Minute Read
I love a good maple tree in the fall. Especially the Sugar Maple, with it’s bright orange flaring colors. That’s why we chose to plant one 6 years ago after our wedding in October. It’s our wedding tree. We love it. But Oh. My. God. The amount of leaves that drop from it! Like, really? It’s still a sapling by maple tree standards, but between it, and our neighbor’s gigantic Oak tree in their front yard, sometimes we can barely see grass in that corner of our lawn.

When I moved into my house 8 years ago on a cold blistery day in January, I had no idea what the lawn was like. For the first year, I cut the grass every weekend. During the warm summer months, the crabgrass will spread quickly. When the da

Choosing a new plant for your yard? Confirm it's a good fit with the USDA's Plant Hardiness Zone Map. This map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location. Ranging from 1a - 13b, it is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones. Find your zone and get growing! <img src="https://kujo-yardwear.s3.amazonaws.com/usdahardinesszonemao-d419b8909e.jpg" alt="USDA Hardiness Zone Map"

The Japanese Beetle is the sluggish and deceptively destructive pest chewing its way through your foliage, flowers, and fruit. To protect your yard from these ruthless beetles, there are 3 primary solutions: chemicals, traps, and removal. Chemicals</h2
