The 5th pair i have purchased so far, still needs an insole / arch support. The 1st two pairs the soles wore out before the uppers. On this last pair, the glue holding the sole to the uppers started coming apart before the soles wore out. ShoeGue had a hard time sticking to the 'leather'. I am an arborists, used these shoes as climbing shoes, for the abuse I dished out to 'em up in the trees, they held up okay. Let's see how this pair fairs this coming work season
